Dear Carolyn,

     Thank you for sharing with me your beautiful and thoughtful book. When my breast cancer was diagnosed, our youngest child, Susan, was a teenager, but she was still very frightened because her mother had cancer. Susan and I were a great comfort and support for each other because we each wanted to be strong for the other one.

     For the younger child dealing with any illness is hard. The desire to be strong is all too easily overcome by fear of the unknown. Explanation can be too involved for a young child to grasp. Your book will help to solve this problem.
